Frankfurt wins for combining cash, bank money and central banking in one approachable visit. More than 80 media stations support its explanations. It beats Citéco because money itself stays at the centre, while the Paris museum ranges more broadly across economics.
Admission is free; the regular schedule excludes Saturdays. Do not assume a weekend city break means both days are available. Compare an explanation of cash with one of money held in accounts: the difference is more revealing than simply counting old coins.
