Full Fact is well suited to claims in UK public debate. Its current description covers politicians, public institutions, media and viral content, and says it links its sources and follows up to encourage corrections. When a figure looks surprising, read the underlying source and what the figure measures, not just the article’s conclusion.
It outranks FactCheck.org here for a remit that includes this wider set of public and viral claims. Sixth rewards a clear route from assertion to evidence, not an assumption that either organisation is infallible.
