Musk founded SpaceX in 2002; NASA certified its crew transport system in 2020. He joined Tesla’s board in 2004, rather than creating it alone. These achievements belong to engineers, partners and NASA as well as its founder.
He takes tenth because we favour legacies tested across generations over recent technical ambition. Walker’s record of opening economic opportunity wins our close comparison. If difficult engineering matters most, Musk can rise sharply; we judge completed achievements, not promises about Mars.
