Stratocumulus combines a layer-like arrangement with rounded masses or rolls, typically including darker areas. Most regularly arranged elements appear wider than five degrees. The photo gives a textured ceiling with gaps rather than a single smooth blanket.

Look across several neighbouring elements. Do they retain a repeated lumpy structure instead of becoming separate tall towers? This is a rewarding comparison with stratus and altocumulus. The width thresholds are observational aids, not a ruler you can apply to a resized photo without knowing its field of view.
