The long password on a router becomes less of a nuisance when a visitor can join through your phone. Android’s network settings can display a sharing QR code. On iPhone, a nearby contact can select your network and trigger a password-sharing prompt on your unlocked, connected phone; both devices need signed-in Apple Accounts.
That makes this a useful everyday hosting tool, but the Apple method has conditions rather than working with every visitor’s phone. Share only networks you are permitted to share, preferably a guest network if you have one. It ranks here because it removes repeated setup friction without changing the router password.
