Autofill removes the temptation to choose the same memorable password for every login. iPhone can generate, save and fill strong passwords using Passwords or a selected manager. Google Password Manager can suggest unique passwords and fill supported websites and apps on Android.

Check your chosen autofill provider in Settings, try it on one account and keep your account-recovery options current. On newer iPhones, the control is under General, then AutoFill & Passwords. This comes second for repeated everyday usefulness and support for unique logins. It still requires protecting your device and manager account; saving a password does not make an account invulnerable.
