Vienna earns ninth with the Hofburg, Schönbrunn Palace and a deep choice of museums. It is our stronger pick than Berlin for a first trip built around imperial architecture and art rather than twentieth-century division.
Prague edges ahead because we prefer its bridge-to-castle sequence for an atmospheric first walk. Vienna could easily win for a palace enthusiast. Make the Hofburg your central anchor and give Schönbrunn its own place in the plan, instead of treating every palace and museum as a quick stop.
