Mount Emei brings a Buddhist cultural landscape together with unusually rich plant diversity. Temples and forested slopes make the journey as important as the view from above. We selected it because a mountain visit can connect natural history with religious heritage instead of focusing only on elevation. Allow time for the sites between viewpoints, and treat temples as living places of worship rather than scenery alone.
