Fuji is both a volcanic landmark and a cultural landscape shaped by pilgrimage and art. Views from surrounding lakes offer a way to appreciate its solitary profile without turning a visit into a climb. It belongs here because the mountain’s influence extends well beyond its summit. Treat climbing and lakeside sightseeing as separate plans, with different seasonal access and preparation requirements; clear views are never guaranteed.
