Banff forms part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage property, where peaks, lakes and glaciers create a varied mountain setting. Lake Louise offers a memorable meeting of water and high terrain. The destination ranks third for the combination of large-scale scenery and different ways to experience it. Plan transport and access with Parks Canada: a popular lakeside viewpoint is not evidence that nearby alpine trails have the same difficulty.
