Built for Eusebi Güell, this early Gaudí palace centres its household around a tall main hall. The interior rewards attention before the celebrated roof: compare the compressed approach with the hall’s upward reach. It differs from the Passeig de Gràcia houses.
That spatial drama puts it above Casa Vicens; Sant Pau wins fifth for explaining architecture at the scale of a whole complex. The operator warns that the roof can close in rain, strong wind or extreme heat, and lists non-holiday Monday closures. Check before planning rooftop photos.
