Pula’s surviving outer walls and towers make the building’s envelope a particular attraction. The museum’s visitor page also provides QR-based audio guides. For a first encounter with a substantial Roman arena, the exterior offers a clear starting point before you explore the interpretation inside.
Walk the permitted route while following how the openings repeat around the oval. Compare an exterior view with the experience of looking outward from within: does the building feel more open or enclosed? We favour Pula for that architectural contrast. Check the museum’s accessibility map if needed, and avoid climbing the raised structures.
